Based on the true life story of Burt Munro who achieved his life long ambition of setting the world land-speed report on his Indian bicycle in 1967. Munro hit over 200mph with a bicycle of less than 1000cc!

If we put a young reader of this description (or any young Muhammad Ali fan) into a time machine and zapped him back forty or so years ago, two things about Ali would come to be inevitable to the youngster: 1) he easily was as fast, quick, and as great as he had heard; and 2) he was a very unpopular sports figure. The first should not come as much of a surprise to him or her, given the availability of Vhs tapes, Dvds, and now, youtube. But, the second notice may shock him or her. As hard as it is to believe about man who is now as popular and popular as any sports outline worldwide, Muhammad Ali was at one time not liked, well, easily hated by many population (whether they were sports fans or not). Much of the hatred was not justified, of course, but bigotry and ignorance never are. He was also loved by his fans -- a true love or hate him celebrity if there was one.

Some advocate the long tedious grinds of three to five miles. I have all the time contended, and followed the theory, that the long grinds perhaps are principal preparation only for the 1 to 15 rounds of pro fighting.

The traditional story of Oliver Twist by Dickens is bit sombre and negative. A poor boy works in a workhouse where he is subjected to abuse. He is later surrounded by thieves in London and other boys from similar deprived backgrounds. It saddens the heart and allows one to think only of greed, poverty, corruption and perceived power.
